MPM Essentials partners with schools, districts, and educational organizations to build teacher capacity for serving multilingual learners. We design, develop, and deliver professional learning grounded in the Responsive Instruction Framework—a research-based approach that helps teachers amplify learning rather than simplify it. We also work with educational consultants and organizations to develop custom eLearning when they need instructional design expertise.
We're not reinventing the wheel—we're upgrading the tires. Rather than introducing disconnected initiatives, we work strategically to understand what districts have already invested in (instructional frameworks, curriculum materials, walkthrough tools, multi-year priorities) and design professional learning that builds on and enhances those investments. The result is coherence instead of initiative fatigue. Our focus is on building sustainable capacity within districts, not creating dependency on outside consultants.
The Responsive Instruction Framework is built around three stages that students experience when learning: ACCESS (making content comprehensible), PROCESS (engaging meaningfully through reflection and discussion), and SHOWCASE (making learning visible while navigating language demands). The framework identifies key teacher decision-making touchpoints at each stage, helping educators make strategic instructional moves that maintain high standards while making grade-level content accessible to multilingual learners. It's grounded in research from language acquisition, culturally responsive teaching, and effective instructional practice.
It means we build on what districts already have rather than asking them to start over. Whether a district uses an established instructional framework, has created their own observation tools and priorities, or has invested in specific curriculum materials, we identify meaningful connections and build from there. If teachers are working with a particular approach to instruction, we show how responsive instruction for multilingual learners aligns with and extends those principles. If a district has locally-developed walkthrough tools or multi-year instructional priorities, we connect ML strategies directly to those existing structures. This approach creates coherence across initiatives instead of asking teachers to juggle competing demands.
The key challenge many districts face is how to serve multilingual learners effectively without watering down curriculum or lowering expectations. Our approach helps teachers amplify learning rather than simplify it—maintaining grade-level rigor while making content genuinely accessible. This matters because when instruction is over-simplified or over-scaffolded for multilingual learners, they fall further behind. When it's amplified strategically, they can access the same complex thinking as their peers.
Our professional learning addresses the essential knowledge and skills teachers need to effectively serve multilingual learners:
All of this is organized through the Responsive Instruction Framework (ACCESS-PROCESS-SHOWCASE), using strategies and approaches that amplify learning for students at all three phases of learning.
Every partnership begins with discovery—understanding your context, goals, and what you've already invested in. From there, we work collaboratively to select relevant content from our professional learning suite and identify explicit connections to your existing frameworks and initiatives. Then we implement through the right blend of delivery formats based on your needs. Some partnerships are single workshops or short-term engagements. Others are semester-long or multi-year partnerships that build deep capacity over time. The scope is determined collaboratively based on what will create sustainable impact.
What delivery formats do you offer?
We implement through strategically designed combinations of:
The blend is designed based on content, audience, constraints, and sustainability needs—not a one-size-fits-all approach.
Our partnership process follows three main phases:
DESIGN
We begin by exploring your goals and needs, your target audience, and the overall context for learning. During this phase, we'll discuss questions such as:
DEVELOP
After the design phase, we develop your professional learning experiences using tools such as Articulate 360 for eLearning modules and interactions. Based on your desired level of interaction—including animation, voice-over narration, and branching scenarios—we create a learning experience tailored to your organization.
DELIVER
When the professional learning resources are complete, we collaborate with you on the best delivery methods. We can coordinate with your LMS point person or webmaster. For platforms like Canvas or LearnWorlds, we can help design the course space to house the resources. We ensure you have access to all resources so you can continue offering the learning even after our engagement ends.
We work with schools, districts, educational consultants, and organizations—anyone committed to improving outcomes for students, particularly multilingual learners. This includes classroom teachers, instructional coaches, curriculum directors, school and district leaders, and educational organizations looking for scalable professional learning solutions.
This service is for educational consultants and organizations who have content expertise but need someone to transform that content into engaging, effective eLearning. Maybe you're a literacy consultant who wants to scale your reach through interactive modules. Maybe you're a district with compliance training that needs to be delivered more efficiently. Or maybe you're an educational organization that needs professional learning content turned into accessible eLearning experiences. If you have the content (or can collaborate with us to develop it) but need instructional design and eLearning development expertise, this service is for you.
We use industry-standard tools like Articulate Storyline 360 and Rise 360 to create interactive eLearning modules. These tools allow us to build engaging learning experiences with scenarios, knowledge checks, branching interactions, and multimedia elements. We also create interactive digital resources, video content, and visual reference guides depending on what best serves the learning goals.
The first step is a free consultation where we discuss your context, your goals, and what you've already invested in. This conversation helps us both determine if there's a good fit and what a partnership might look like. After that consultation, we provide a custom proposal that includes scope, timeline, content selection, delivery approach, and pricing. Once we agree on the plan, we begin with discovery and move forward from there.

Pricing is customized based on scope, content selection, delivery format, and timeline. After our initial consultation, when we have a clear understanding of your needs and goals, we provide a detailed proposal with transparent pricing. The investment reflects the comprehensive nature of the work—strategic planning, research-based content, flexible delivery, and support aimed at building sustainable capacity.
